The DJI AP100 Parachute is a safety accessory purpose-built for the Matrice 400, designed to slow the aircraft’s descent during an emergency and reduce potential damage to the aircraft, payload, and anything below. With sub-600ms response, a stabilized descent speed under 5 m/s, and built-in safety redundancy across power, sensing, and communication, the AP100 gives operators the confidence to fly lightweight delivery, urban patrol, mapping, and faรงade-cleaning missions over populated areas.
Meeting C5/C6 (EU) and UK5/UK6 (UK) safety requirements, the AP100 Parachute supports STS-01 urban VLOS and STS-02 BVLOS operations, making it a key enabler for compliant, permit-ready M400 flights.

COMPLIANT, FAST-DEPLOYING SAFETY SYSTEM

MULTIPLE DEPLOYMENT METHODS
- Automatic โ triggers on flight-anomaly detection (abnormal attitude or speed) or a geocaging boundary (EU only)
- Manual โ trigger via the DJI Pilot 2 app or FTS, or remotely through FlightHub 2’s web interface (EU only)
- Audio/Visual Alarms โ buzzer and flashing light warn people on the ground during deployment and help locate the aircraft after landing
BUILT-IN SAFETY REDUNDANCY
- Independent Power โ built-in dual capacitors keep the processor, sensors, and ejector powered even if the aircraft’s main battery fails
- Independent Sensing & Execution โ uses its own sensors for key decisions and sends trigger commands straight to the ESC via an independent circuit, not fully reliant on the main flight controller
- Independent Communication Link โ a dedicated 4G channel for manual triggering, separate from the standard RC link
- Continuous Self-Check โ monitors gas generator status and communication links from power-on through the entire flight, with real-time anomaly alerts in DJI Pilot 2’s Health Management System
